Brief History
The Chitrapur Saraswat Education and Relief Society, Santacruz ( CSERS ) was constituted
in the year 1946 mainly with an objective of helping the needy and deserving students
and give helping hand to the aged, sick, invalid people in the area of medical treatment
or distress relief.
CSERS is registered with Bombay Public Trusts under Act of 1950 & Act XXI of 1960.
Its Registration Number is F-119 ( Bombay )
A Provisional Certificate has been granted under section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961 with a Unique Registration Number AAATC1137EF20228 and valid till 31st March 2024.
Management of the Institution
- The Management of the business of the Institution is vested in a Managing Committee
consisting of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Honorary Secretary, Honorary Treasurer
and in addition four other Committee Members and all of them work on honorary basis.

Foreign Contributions
Our Society is Registered under Section 6(1) of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation)
Act 1976 (As amended as per FCRA Act 2010 of Ministry of Home Affairs and has been
allotted a registration number. Our Society is authorized to receive donations from
foreign sources either in foreign currency or in Indian rupees, as defined in FCRA
Act 2010.

Act 2010 can be given on request from such donors).
